Organizers: favorite artists and contact them

As an organizer, your job is finding the right people for the right event. This guide walks through the two tools built for you: favorites (a private shortlist of artists you want to keep on hand) and internal messaging (a built-in inbox so you can reach out without sharing emails or phone numbers). Both live inside your Account dashboard.

Sign in as an organizer

Log in with your organizer account. If you don't have one yet, sign up from the homepage → pick the Organizer role. Favorites and messaging are gated to logged-in organizers — anonymous visitors can still browse profiles but can't save or message.

Browse the directory

Use the top-nav Explore menu to browse a category (Music, Performer, Decorator, Food, Handmade, Photo & Video) or type a name in the search bar. Each category page lets you filter by country, fee range, genre, and other tags so you narrow down fast.

Favorite artists with the heart icon

Every artist card in the directory shows a heart icon in the top-right corner. Click it to add the artist to your private favorites — the icon fills pink to confirm. Click again to remove. The same heart works on each artist's full profile page, so you can favorite from either view.

Open the Favorites tab

Click your avatar top-right → Account → Favorites. You'll see every artist you saved, grouped in a grid. Use the category pills at the top to filter by type (Music, Performer, Decorator, etc.) when your list grows long.

Open an artist profile to contact them

Click any favorite card to open the full artist profile. Scroll down to the "Internal messaging" section — a contact form keyed to that artist. The artist's email and phone are never exposed publicly; this form is the only way to start a conversation through the platform.

Write a concrete brief

In the message, lead with: who you are, the event name + date + location, the kind of slot (opening, headliner, all-night, decor brief), and your budget range. Vague "are you available?" notes get ignored — artists triage requests by quality of brief.

Send and track replies in Messages

Hit Send — the message lands in the artist's Messages inbox AND you get a copy in yours (Account → Messages). Replies thread under the same conversation. You can keep one ongoing thread per artist instead of email chains.

Unfavorite anyone you ruled out

Once you've shortlisted, click the pink heart on any artist you decided against to remove them. Keeps your Favorites tab as a working shortlist instead of a graveyard of every artist you ever clicked.
